中央上部に書かれている「東風吹かば匂ひおこせよ梅の花あるじなしとて春を忘るな」は天神こと、菅原道真が自らの邸宅にある梅の木と京の都を懐かしんで詠んだ歌であり、百人一首にも選ばれていることで有名な一句である。

The phrase "Plum blossoms, give off that wonderful scent when the easterly wind blows. Don't forget spring without the Lord" is a phrase written by Tenjin, Sugawara no Michizane. Sugawara no Michizane, who was exiled to Kyushu, often missed the plum blossoms and Kyoto at his home. This phrase is famous for being selected by Hyakunin Isshu.
