龍神伝説にちなんだ「龍爪梅花皮」
琵琶湖には、竹生島宝厳寺、藤ヶ崎神社などで龍神伝説が
多く残っています。
龍の爪痕のような力強いちぢれから龍爪（りゅうそう）と名付け、
刀剣の柄に巻くエイの皮を「梅花皮（かいらぎ）」と言い、
その表面に似ていることか「りゅうそうかいらぎ」と名付けられています。

梅花皮（かいらぎ）は、土と釉薬と炎の“きまぐれ”から生まれます。
高温で焼かれる際、器に塗られた釉薬が粒状にちぢれて、独特の文様が現れます。
岩崎政雄が生み出す梅花皮は、数百年の歴史を持つ梅花皮の中にあってなお、際立つ風貌をたたえています。

龍爪梅花皮は一点一点個性があり模様の出方が異なります。

"RyusoKairagi" named after the legend of the dragon god
In Lake Biwa, there are many legends of dragon gods at Hogonji Temple on Chikubu Island and Fujigasaki Shrine.
It is named Ryuso because of its strong curls that look like dragon claw marks.
It is named "Ryuso Kairagi" because of its similarity to its surface.

Plum blossom skin (Kairagi) is born from the “capriciousness” of clay, glaze and flame.
When fired at a high temperature, the glaze applied to the vessel shrinks into granules, revealing a unique pattern.
The plum skin produced by Masao Iwasaki has a distinctive appearance even among plum blossom skins with a history of several hundred years.

Each dragon claw plum blossom skin is unique and the pattern is different.
