明治から現代にいたるまで、二度の消失を経験しながら、そのたびに復活してきた神戸人形は、地元の神戸のみならず、世界中のコレクターに愛されています。
特に、独特の世界観を持つカラクリはふといつでも手に取りたくなるような魅力があります。

この作品は「目出鯛」と呼ばれ、小坊主がめでたい席で鯛を捌こうとすると、まな板の上の鯛は暴れまわり、小坊主が目玉が出るほど驚くというものになっております。
横のつまみを回すことで駆動する様子は、昔懐かしい、ぜんまい細工を思い出させます。
