日々是好日とは、元は禅語の言葉であるため解釈は分かれるものの、今生きている日はそれ自体が素晴らしい日であり、そのすべてが尊い物であるという意味です。
お互いに話し合ったり、茶を飲んだりしているお坊さんの様子が、見る人の心に安らぎをもたらしてくれます。

馬骨子才林
1940年京都生まれ。
細々と京の街中に住み、年を重ねつつ戯描と笑止、独自の墨描にて、我道を趣くまま、少々の荷を背負いながらぼつぼつと歩く。
他に書き記し誇れることもなく、只、撲心の一筆であればと思っております。

The phrase "Every day is a good day" is originally a Zen phrase that has been interpreted in different ways, but it means that every day we live is a wonderful day in itself, and that all of it is precious.
The monks talking with each other and drinking tea bring peace of mind to the viewer.

I have lived in Kyoto for many years, drawing pictures in a playful way. I have spent my life with my own unique ink drawings, following my own path and carrying a little burden on my back.
I have nothing else to write down and be proud of, and I will continue to draw with an unadorned heart.
