馬骨子才林
1940年京都生まれ。
細々と京の街中に住み、年を重ねつつ戯描と笑止、独自の墨描にて、我道を趣くまま、少々の荷を背負いながらぼつぼつと歩く、他に書き記し誇れることもなく、只、撲心の一筆であればと思っております。

The painting is auspicious in that it is a picture of fishing for the "n" in the Japanese syllabary, or "luck," and the fisherman's expression is soft and smiling.
The work reveals the virtuosity of Bakotsu Shisairin's brushwork.

I have lived in Kyoto for many years, drawing pictures in a playful way. I have spent my life with my own unique ink drawings, following my own path and carrying a little burden on my back.
I have nothing else to write down and be proud of, and I will continue to draw with an unadorned heart.
